Every sport has it's share of athletes with unusual nicknames. Many of the reasons for their nicknames would be a story in themselves. No matter what sport a man is involved in, most nicknames upon them bestower Tend to be masculine in nature. Other nicknames are picked up by some unusual habit or talent that the athlete might posses. It seems it's just a part of sporting history to give a nickname favorite sports heroes. In most cases, it's a way of expressing the kinship others feel for the player. In some cases, you have to wonder how in the world to nickname was thought of. When I read lists of sporting nicknames, I often feel sorry for some of the athletes that have to go through their careers carrying them around with those names. Some are obviously meant to be funny and were surely given by close friends or family that could get away with such a thing. Other silly nicknames are given with good intention but you still have to almost feel sorry for the guy that has to live with it. It's in a spirit of fun that I'm going to give you my personal list of the five worst Boxing Nicknames. 5. Butterbean / Eric Scott Esch: I know about Butterbean from speaking about him with my father. It seems the reason that I was given this nickname is that his body was shaped sort of like a butter bean. It's one of those names that was given by someone that surely meant well but I can not help but giggle over a grown man boxing with that name. I do not have any statistics on his career, but just the fact that I have made it a career to box with that name proves to me I must be a pretty tough guy. 4. Baby / Joe Mesi: When my brothers or sisters called me a baby, it was almost a sure way to get me to cry. Being called a baby by friends or family was definitely an insult to anyone that grew up in my neighborhood. Boxer Joe Mesi is one that does not seem to be negatively affected at all by his unusual nickname. With thirty six wins, zero losses, and twenty nine knockouts, I'd say being called baby has not bothered him much. 3. Darnell "The Ding A Ling Man" Wilson: If you have not already started humming the tune Chuck Berry, My Ding a ling, you might not have as of a warped sense of humor as my friends and myself. When looking at lists of names boxing and thinking about my choices for this article, I ran across this name and found myself humming the song instantly. The few friends I mentioned the name to did exactly the same thing. It's still got me smiling to think that someone actually has a boxing career with this nickname. The name not only has me humming the tune, it also has given me a strange craving to buy a box of ding dongs. It easily ranks number three in my list of the top five worst boxing nicknames.2. Ronald "Winky" Wright: The Closer I Get to the top of my list, the easier it is to choose the worst nicknames. Winky is just so feminine and funny that I actually feel almost sorry for the guy. I say almost Because he has an outstanding boxing record. With fifty one wins, five losses, one draw, and twenty five knockouts, Winky seems to be handling his nickname totally fine. I still would not give a nickname like Winky to anyone but my goofiest friend. 1. Jerry "Wimpy" Halstead: There is not a whole lot I can say about this name without having to hold my belly to keep my laughter from hurting. I can not imagine who would give a boxing athlete a nickname like Wimpy. Just saying the name makes me want to eat a very large burger that I would gladly pay for next Tuesday. It's with a huge smile and an honest sense of humor that I tip my hat to Wimpy and proudly place him at my number one spot for the worst nicknames in boxing history. As easy as it might be to feel sorry for some of these guys, I really do. In all honestly, I admire each and every one of them for being athletes that were able to beat the odds of making it as far as they did and doing it all with a nickname heavy to carry. I see them all as a great bunch of men involved in the great sport of boxing. They've provided many people of the pleasure of watching them at their sport and given many people a giggle over their nicknames at the same time. Source: http://boxing.about.com/

There is a big financial debt stir in the community surrounding the subject of low interest rate cards. Most of these "low rate" interest cards are actually set at 0% - giving consumers an easy way out of debt. But as consumers are finding, this new prospect in debt repayment is not without drawbacks, and opting for it can increase debt as Opposed to help it. Anyone with a mailing address knows of the offers that boast a 0% interest rate. This can help consumers out, but only under certain and specific circumstances. This is because credit companies will only offer this rate for a limited amount of time before upping the rate to something much less appealing. It is not uncommon for this new rate to be much more expensive than current rates for the consumer is experiencing. Consumers can benefit from a 0% interest rate card, if they are responsible enough and time permits ample payback options. It can be as lengthy as a year before high interest rates start to kick in, so consumers can switch their debts over to this new credit card and benefit from it if they can pay the debts off before then. Otherwise, they are likely to lose money on the deal and end up paying more. Other hidden discounts and low interest rates on the credit card will often be apparent. This means that reading the fine print on contracts and agreements is more than necessary-it's vital. If you are having trouble deciphering a contract, or need help in Deciding whether or not the contract is worthy, consulting a lawyer or financial adviser is a good option to undertaker. Also note that if one has the simple idea to switch from one low interest rate credit card to another on a repeated basis, this could negatively impact one's credit rating. Credit companies will see the multiple new credit cards signed up for, and assume the consumer is not being responsible in opening and closing so many accounts. This also becomes less plausible as many contracts require consumers will agree to a minimum length of service agreement. Going for a low rate or 0% rate credit card is not a bad idea-it just takes responsibility for it to work correctly. There are too many factors, rules, and regulations to decipher for most citizens to make an educated decision. If one still wants to go through with the plan, it is highly recommended that the consumer make use of a financial consultant. Closing Comments Financial issues are hardly ever made better by constantly switching plans and rates. Switching from one to another credit card company holds true to this statement, since most applicants who qualify will not be able to pay their debts back in time before higher interest rates start to take effect. In addition to hidden rates and fees, there are service agreements to be signed. In the end, the creditors always come out on top "and a" quick fix "is often not worth it.

Hello, My Name Is - Global Warming by MattHurst

You may have heard that the debate is over, that global warming is fact and now is the time to act. Perhaps you heard it from the lips of Al Gore in a documentary you watched, and if not, you are likely to have heard it from any and every Media Outlet. However, Despite what many would have you believe, global warming is not a theory that is set in stone, and considerable scientific dissent still exists. It's hard to find to find such sources, as most news stations are unlikely to present the other side in fear of being panned, (although some notable exceptions come to mind, such as Stossel on 20/20) however, if you simply type in a few key words, such as "global warming debate" or "global warming dissent" or any other related search, into Google or Youtube, you'll find all these hidden gems covering the other side of the issue. You may have been told that our industrialization in this country is destroying the environment, that we are emitting greenhouse gases that get trapped in our atmosphere and causes our planet to warm. Well, this is only partly true. It is true that much of what we do emits carbon dioxide, from making cars to breathing. However, this does not mean much in terms of planet temperature. In fact, more carbon dioxide is emitted from decaying leaves in the fall than all human effort combined. Human effort Contributes only 0.28% of greenhouse gas. Not that it matters, since carbon dioxide does not even Constitutes that much of the greenhouse gases emitted on this planet. Actually, 95% of greenhouse gas is composed simply of water vapor. Not to mention, that from that minute amount carbon dioxide that we and all the other creatures do emit, not only does industry constitutive tiny percentage of that, but an even smaller percentage of that is actually trapped in that atmosphere, no more than the amount that should be natural. The rest is released. Do not believe me? Look up the information for yourself. So where do we get this notion that global CO2 Closely parallels temperature, that CO2 rises when our planet warms, and when it falls our planet cools? There are graphs everywhere, including a very large, and seemingly prolific, one Al Gore likes to show with his slideshow. Actually, the graphs are accurate, CO2 does parallel temperature very closely. However, if you take a look at those graphs a little closer, if you just examine them with a little more detail before taking them as proof, you'll notice that CO2 actually lags a bit behind temperature. What that means is that the temperature change comes first, and after the CO2 changes occurs as a result of temperature, not the other way around. In fact, on all data sets that you see Involving temperature models, take a look at the numbers and make sure that neither axis has been regressed. By changing the formula around, you can really make anything you want appear in numbers, you can make look like cooling and warming versa. You vice may be wondering what the big deal is, we may as well go green before we run out of other resources, right? No harm, right? Incorrect. Lord Christopher Monckton has been touring the country giving lectures on the false math and science behind global warming. (He is also the creator of the Eternity and the Eternity II puzzle, the latter of which is still offering a $ 2 million prize to the first person who solves it.) Aside from the rigorous data collection he does, exposing fraud, he talks about how harmful to false scientific notion can be. He begins his lecture with a quick anecdote about DDT, a pesticide used well in the early 20th century. In the 1940s and 50s, a small group of scientist began to believe that DDT may have some possible hazards. This received little attention until 1962, when a woman named Rachel Carson published a book called Silent Spring, In which she argue that pesticides were hurting the environment and were very harmful to humans. The book became a national bestseller, launching the modern environmental movement and gathering the attention of Kennedy and his administration. As a result, DDT was banned. While it caused little concern in the U.S., on the international level, DDT was used as a cheap pesticide in all parts of the world, mainly Africa, to Prevent malaria carrying mosquitoes from coming into houses. As a result, people were no longer able to get this cheap pesticide until very recently, when the ban was lifted. From then till now, tens of millions of Africans have died from malaria. Till this day no serious hazardous effects have been substantially proven. What does this mean for us? Economically speaking, this means the "greening of America," the closing of many productive plants and businesses, based on a theory that still has considerable dissent. This dissent comes from the world's top scientists. In fact, the scientists that worked on the IPCC report (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), the very document that every enthusiast cites global warming, even those scientists disagree with global warming. These "top 2500 scientists" many of them simply contributed research about the topic, even opposing it, and while their research was not included in the IPCC report, their names were listed, since they still "contributed research." Many have had to sue to get their names off the list. Others do not bother with the cumbersome process. So what about these facts thrown out at you, like the fact that polar bear numbers in Alaska are decreasing? Actually, polar bear numbers have more than doubled in that last decade. (Not to mention that Despite what people think, polar bears adapt quite well to warmer climates.) Yes, may be breaking off glaciers into the sea, but that is a natural cyclical occurrence. What usually happens is when one polar ice cap warms, the other might cool, but what news station will report on cooling. Glaciers break off and freeze again, that's what they do, that's what they've been doing before we were around with our cars. Increased sea levels have not any more than they should and Greenland is not melting, in fact it is still rising as it always has been. No one doubts that the earth goes through periods when it warms. However, it also Cyclically goes through periods when it cools. If one looks at temperature records throughout history there have been periods, such as what scientist call the "Medieval Warm Period" around the 11th century, where the earth has warmed to temperatures even higher than now, when we could not possibly have anything to do with it. (Some prominent global warming models conveniently leave out this period.) So we come back to the question: what's the big deal? Well, aside from losing unnecessary jobs in a time of economic crisis, we must remember DDT and Africa. When we use alternate fuel sources from agriculture, such as corn, we Delusional, much of agricultural product for the use of food. This causes food prices to rise, they have actually doubled in the last several years. This is small change for us, since they were not that high, relatively speaking, to begin with. However, we now have a problem with feeding people in third world countries, who have in the past depends on the food coming from our country. Even now, people are dying in Africa Because they can no longer afford to buy food, living off mud cakes now that barely keep them alive. This problem can only get worse as we divert more and more resources away from agriculture for consumption. Our current resources, such as coal, oil, and nuclear power, are also the most efficient sources for energy we have. Efficiency means cheap. To replace them with inefficient and costly energy coming from wind and solar power seems, again, ridiculous in a time of crisis. Again, let us once again consider the third world countries who even now are losing the ability to afford energy and heat in their homes, and Malthus are dying from smoke inhalation caused by making fires in poorly ventilated homes, as well as the other problems they have to face. Few stop to consider what does not Affect directly. To them make matters worse, opposing global warming science now just does not seem to get any funding. It's almost scandalous to go public with such an idea. How can truth ever be found then? In no way am I trying to say a conspiracy exists. However, global warming is a theory, like any other, and considerable dissent exists with much scientific data to back it up. In fact, Lord Monckton asked to debate Al Gore on that science and I refused. There are many resources available and I encourage everyone to look up this information for yourselves. Google and Youtube are obvious wonderful resources. Exists A wonderful documentary entitled "The Great Global Warming Swindle" that I believe is available on Google Video and can explain all this and more better than I could. Do not hesitate to question what you see, and look at the science first and foremost.

According to Wikipedia Health "Women's Health Initiative (WHI) was initiated by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 1991. The objective of this initiative for women's health research was to conduct medical research in some of the major health problems of older women. In particular, clinical trials designed and funded that addressed cardiovascular disease, cancer and osteoporosis. "Why these three diseases selected for this research program?
